Hi Guys,

did anyone of you had a chance to actually compare the hrt music streamer II and hrt music streamer II+? The +-model costs more than twice than the basic model. I was not able to find any information on actual difference in the sound of both DACs. What Hifi even gave the non-+ version five stars.

Best, lr

If you like the HRT sound - which I love - and if either your equipment is audiophile quality

or if you soon will upgrade to that quality then the II+ is a big step up from the II; in my

system the II sounded OK but a little harsh on the upper mids/highs while the II+ is just smooth and clean, hi resolution and

overall fantastic! ___I fully agree with Hi Fi+ review:

^^^WHS, it's a worthwhile step-up if you think you'll use the DAC a lot, ie if you think you'll end up making it your primary source.  If it's a 'play it occasionally' kind of thing, maybe save your money and just buy the II.  The difference in price sure buys a lot of beer, which as I'm sure we all agree, has its own SQ enhancing properties Wink.
