future proof streaming system
When i think that i did almost thirty years without changing much in the basic setup of a cd-based system, it makes me quite nostalgic in this chaotic transition time.
I used a logitech transporter with a nas for a couple of years, but the larger my digital collection grows, the more i return to the easy browsing of itunes on a mac via airplay. I'm only halfway into digitalising my cd's, and this time-consuming ripping thing starts to bother me, now that we have fantastic streaming sites like qobuz.com where i find half of my precious cd's, and many more on hand in the same lossless quality.
So, before i invest more time and money in some hardware i won't use anymore in 2013: Am i right to believe that a mac&dac&itunes - with an amarra-like enhancer - might be the most future proof system to combine a large lossless cd collection with streaming sites like qobuz?
