One of the good things about foobar2000 is the endless potential configurations of the UI. I thought it might be interesting to see how the posters on this forum have set theirs up. Here's mine...

I have two views configured, the CD and Filter Views, which sit within a Tab Stack.

The CD View uses Playlist Switcher, Item Properties, Chronflow and NG Playlist

The Filter View uses Playlist Switcher, Item Properties, Album Art, Genre Filter, Artist Filter, Album Filter and NG Playlist

What do you think? Why not post your configuration?

Re: Foobar2000 - User Interface Gallery

Before anyone asks, I have no affiliation to foobar2000 nor do I contribute any code, configuration or any of my time to the development of the product. I just like it!

Re: Foobar2000 - User Interface Gallery

Hi PjPro, can you give me any tips on how to get the Chronflow working? I have downloaded the plugin, put the dll in the components folder and I can see it in the display menu, but I don't know how to actually get it showing on the player. To be honest, I've found the UI customisation a bit difficult, I can get sideways columns to come up but nothing horizontal like in iTunes, and on your setup. In truth, I rather like the interface of iTunes but I find the sound throught Foobar with ASIO drivers (I can't get the WASAPI drivers to work) to be much better. If I can get Foobar to look like iTunes then I would be very happy.

Ps. I have posted a thread about the convolver plugin, if you know anything about it then your advice would be appreciated.

You must be the only other foobar user on this forum! See here for a primer. Hope this helps.

Firstly thanks for all the info PJPro, got my PC based music sounding sweet now, and Foobar is getting there. Followed the primer, I have a question.

Iv'e setup my filter view page similar to yours, how do i get the 3 filters to align horizontally, currently mine are stacked on top of each other.

Thanks Ryge

PJPro:

The Lyrics are, i would say, more relavent today than in the '80s when written.

Sorry for the hijack but one of my Favourites   just wish Matt would make more.

Might have to look into Foobar a bit more.

Yes, I've always been a bit surprised by the lack of critical acclaim and chart success attracted by Mr Johnson.

The other album I have is Dusk....

Glad to hear you're getting foobar sorted.

To get the three filters to align horizontally, place them within a horizontal splitter. So, for my filter page, the layout is...

Horizontal splitter (this is the tab)
   Vertical splitter
      Playlist switcher
      Item properties
      Album Art
   Vertical splitter
      Horizontal splitter
         Filter
         Filter
         Filter
      NG Playlist

Hope this helps.

I still have to finish configuring my wife's foobar gui (the basis of the primer). Maybe I'll include further updates to the primer thread.

Thanks PJPro, I hadn't had a chance to customize the UI yet but now surely will. This looks much better than what I stare at everyday Smile

Ooooo. Burning Blue Soul. Not heard of that one.

And what's that CD at the bottom of the picture. The one that looks a bit gay.

PJ,

Your setup looks fantastic.

Are there any remote control options with Foobar?  For example, Media Monkey and iTunes have good remote functionality from the Touch. Foobar allows use of the all important Wasapi.

Re: Foobar2000 - User Interface Gallery

I must get round to doing a nice Foobar interface, I use the defaults with only minor changes at the moment. Thanks PJPro, yet again you've turned out a really useful resource, you little star.

Thanks for the The The reminder too. I'd nearly forgotten my mouldering tape collection. Spotify have more The The than you can shake a stick at. Listening now.

Sorry Robert, can you provide a little more detail (step by step)?

You shouldn't encounter any problems copying a file from one folder to another using explorer, assuming you have adequate privileges. Do you get an error message?
