Site looks pretty interesting, 160,000 odd tracks inc vinyl going back 40 years EMI and Warner plus others.Windows sp and vista, osx in Feb 2009. Cost £99 for software/donglekey gives unlimited downloads for 1 year. Anyone got it or tried it. all views welcome guys and gals.

Looks like a good price. My only qualms are that it's MP3 only and can't be used on a Mac yet which renders it pretty much unusable for me.

Re: Datz music lounge

yeah i've got datz music lounge, overall i'm pretty pleased with it. will definitely save me money over the course of the year, there's apparently 1.4 million tracks on there, i've managed to download a fair load, although there isn't much new releases there is an extensive back catalogue, i've downloaded a real cross section of stuff from the bee gees, to the streets, to bowie, pendulum, red hot chilli peppers, muse, bloc party, morrissey and so the list goes on...

Hi yes, I had a look at their site and was quite impressed, think the new releases are about a month behind [ie jan2009 available in feb and so on] not really a problem. also the mac version due in Feb 2009 which will attract more users I would imagine. Thanks for your reply cheers

I like the idea, but dongle tie to their own software and mp3 are the downsides for me.

But for most of the general public I would think this or napster were the way to go.
