Chordette GEM DAC connected with USB to HDX-1000 media tank

Does anybody have experience connecting a media tank with the sima chip like the HDX-1000 with usb to a Chordette Gem or other DAC?

By the way the bluetooth option of the Chordette works great with the Iphone's latest firmware
