Apple lossless

I've been ripping my cd's in apple lossless but noticed that when i click on advanced one of the options is create apple lossless version anyone know why it does that? I have checked under import settings a few times now as i think i'm going mad and it is on apple lossless just wondering why it has that option! Thanks

It has that option as your preferences are set to import as Apple Lossless. So if you change the import settings to MP3, it will have an option "Convert to MP3" even if you right click on an MP3 file!

Thought I'd completed it at the weekend but my friend came round and played it and found loads of bugs so need to iron them out!
