Added Arcam rdac to Sonos zp90
Just bought a arcam rdac to put between my sonos zp90 and my stereo amp.
Was a little unsure as I bought it with no trial or demo whatsoever. Just based on good user reviews.
What a difference. Always thought the sonos was good, but adding the dac raises the performance significantly.
The music from either spotify or the flac files stored on my NAS just sound so much clearer and better. Perhaps a tad more bass and better seperation of instruments and voices. The songs just sound better (isnt that what its all about?)
And this is with 2 brand new cables connected as well (if you believe that kind of thing about cables needing burn in).
I have hardly used my CD player since buying it. I am struggling to see me ever using it again.
Agreed.
I had a Dacmagic and hated it (harsh as hell) so I traded for an rDac.
The rDac is just in a completely different league in every area, sound wise.

dont say that - i just bought a Dac Magic!
Plenty of people happy with the DacMagic........so don't panic!

And once you've given your rDAC c. 100 hours of run-in, it'll sound even better.
