I jumped from MC15 to MC17, although it must be said there was no improvement in any of the audio processing, but I recall that the format is easier to use in 17. From what I can tell, the big improvements have been in the handling of video files. I asked the question on the interacr forum at the time, and never got a proper answer, which in itself probably is the answer. I've got no desire to jump to 18 at all.

Thanks for the replies,confirms what I was thinking myself that most if not all improvements have been on the video side so if it ain`t broke..... ect.

I went through MC16 -> MC 17 -> MC18 due to an inescapable urge to upgrade...
For audio, I don't think there is any real world difference. A lot of work has gone into the video side of things. I am assuming you are not using filters etc.
The scrolling etc is supposed to be quicker - haven't noticed any difference, the MC16 was already quick!
I have a MacMini 2011 dualbooted with Win 7 Pro and ML OSX. I flick between the two. At the moment I am back on OSX and Audirvana plus in Direct Integer mode.... might change back to J River next week.... much to the frustration of my wife!!
Mac Mini 2011 + Audirvana Plus -> Audiophilleo 2 -> Wyred-4-Sound DAC-2 / Cyrus CD 6SE -> Cyrus PreXPd -> Cyrus Mono Xs -> Audiovector S3 Signatures
