Sonos radio problem

Hi all,

I have recently moved from the uk to china and have run into trouble with the "great firewall of china" when it comes to streaming uk radio stations from my sonos system - as you imagine the streams are blocked and all I can get is radio from china (so the sonos is technically working).

i can get around the firewall with a vpn connection but this doesn't work with the sonos as it does not support vpn directly. Has anybody encountered such a problem when living overseas and more importantly found an effective workaround?

RE: Sonos radio problem

There's an open topic on this in the SONOS forums - could be worth re-activating it to see if there's any developments.

And I know it's not radio, but the QQ music streaming service is also available via SONOS in China.

Group Marketing & PR Manager, Computers Unlimited.

Brands represented include Astell&Kern, Audioengine, B&O Play, Canton, Flexson for SONOS and SONOS

I think that's the service that Sonos are trialling their "Play To Sonos" thingy on before it hits the rest of the world. Sounds very interesting that...
