Displaying album artwork on Cowon C2

I'm hoping someone might be able to put me out of my misery, as this problem is really frustrating me now! I recently bought my other half a Cowon C2 DMP, but have, as yet, been unsuccessful in being able to load album art on it. Most of my files are WAV, which i know doesn't have embedded ID tags(?). But is there a straightforward (or indeed, any) way of getting the album art which is displayed in WMP, to appear on the Cowon. Otherwise there is no way that i can see that you can browse through the albums. I've read that you can insert a jpg called 'cover art' in the folder and that the Cowon will then pick this up, but this doesn't seem to work. Plus, it would be a very lengthy and tedious task for me to do this.

If anyone has any ideas they would be very much appreciated, since my better half is going to USA on monday and needs music to travel with.
