Yamada BD -A1010 - Has anyone auditioned or bought this Blu-Ray player? I have not read a review of this anywhere.

I have not been able to compare this locally with Denon or Marantz and wondered how it fared. I have a Yamaha AV Receiver and wanted to find out if this was a good alternative to the higher rated machines with SACD and DVD-A Playback.

Pioneer bdp440 had issues with Pioneer Receivers. Pioneer bdp55 had issues with SACD. Marantz bdp5005 had issues with some blu-ray discs and vibration problems with some disc's in the drive, cd playback was dire. Machines updated . Yamaha bdp1010 plays everything. No issues. Pic & sound first rate. Hope this helps.

Denon all the way, if music is important to you the marantz just pips the denon but not much, and you can pick up 2012-denon for silly money if you look around.
