Looks like it manipulates pictures. I'm not keen on it personally.
Interesting. I am not sure what to think to that. Thanks. Looks like you have three modes where you can adjust the picture - not really my thing!
Hmmm I'd be lying if I didn't want to see this darbee Darblet in action or at least get a shot of one for an hour or so but at £209 I don't think I will ever find out.
With the equipment some of us have on this forum I don't think it will make much diffrence .i think the darbee would only make DVD that little bit sharper ,to the untrained eye my oppo103 playing a DVD with the intelligent frame creation to the max on the ZT some DVDs (starship troopers)could pass for blu ray.
Everything I throw at the oppo looks damn good ,I doubt the awesome picture quality of game of thrones will look any better darbee Darblet or not on any blu ray player.

I wonder how this will review at WHF?
If there's a Source Direct option all should be fine.
The Darbee processing may be useful for some sources; and if you can watch unprocessed 1080p images too, it could be a great buy.
This is far from a direct comparison, but my CA651 allows me to bypass Marvell Qdeo processing. I can't imagine a company like Oppo would force processing in all modes. I could be wrong, of course.

Yes, gel has already posted the links. Have you checked it out personally yet David?
If it is better than the 103 it is going to be some Blu-ray player.
Beyond accuracy, hmmm
HiFi / A/V / Bedroom
Not yet, but obviously the basics will be the same as the standard 103. They will be reaching dealers next week and we will have one on demo, so once we have, I'll be able to have a good play with it
Good-o David, perhaps you will give us a mini review and a comparison against the 103. Cheers.
So we should expect a Cambridge Audio bd player to also have it soon

I don't think that would happen, as the joint venture is between Oppo & Darbee. Oppo makes players for CA, but to CA's specification.
