I'm looking for a Blueray player that can play 3D discs. At the moment I'm looking at the Panasonic DMP-BDT500 which I've seen for £249. Any thoughts on this player or an alternative? Don't need it to play CDs as I have that covered just need it to produce good pictures/sound on Bluerays.

The Sony BDP-S790 recently beat the Panasonic DMP-BDT500 in a WHF group test for Blu-ray players. And it can be had for £200 at Amazon. So well worth a look at too. The Pioneer BDP-LX55 was another top performer in the test which you could also consider.
The Panasonic DMP-BDT500 run the Sony to a close second in the test and always gets good reviews and praise from users on the forums. They would be the three I would consider at this price point.
Panasonic 50GT50, Pioneer Bdp-lx71, Pioneer Vsx-lx70, B&W FPM Series & B&W PV1.
