I am in the market for a new bluray player. My old Sony S760 is going to my bedroom. The new player should have:

A) Excellent 2D picture quality (most important to me!)

B) Fast(er) loading times

c) Easy to use

d) reduce grain as much as possible

I'd like to stick with Panasonic or Sony. So the models that I consider are the Pana dmp-bdt 220, 320 and BBT01 or the Sony S590 and S790.

I'd appreciate any input at all.

I bought a Panasonic 320 a couple of weeeks ago & it is very good, very quiet player too  Smile I thought the mrs would not get on with the touch pad remote but she loves it ,picture quality is very good , can't comment on 3d thought.

Thanks for sharing your experience! The touchpad remote was indeed something that I didn't really feel comfortable about. But if your wife can deal with it than it (probably Smile) shouldn't be a problem for me.

3D is absolutely not important to me as I am 3D blind.
