I'm after some advice folks.  I am seriously considering buying a 65VT50 and realise that my current bluray/AV set up does not cater for 3D.  Tbh I will probably watch very little 3D content but would like to have the option.

What would be the easiest route to enable me to watch 3D blurays on this new TV?  Change the Denon 2500BT?  If so, to what to keep the excellent picture quality?

Would I need to replace the Denon AVR 4308a as well?

Thanks.

You can pick up a Panasonic BDT-310 from richer  sounds for £130.  This is 3D and dual hdmi output.  Saves you upgrading your av amp, and its so cheap you can keep your denon and use the panasonic only for rare 3D viewing?

Hi,

I have the 2500BT and do find that the PQ cannot be beaten, I recently aquired a OPPO 95 (present from my wife) and use this as my main player now.

I also purchased a Pioneer SC-LX85 to replace my LX72, but could have kept the 72 if I had known about the OPPO arriving.

The OPPO has twin HDMI outs and multi channel analogue as well, you could connect the 1st HDMI direct to the TV and use the 2nd HDMI for sound direct to your 4308.

Michael, I'm confused, if the pq of the 2500BT cannot be beaten then why do you now use the OPPO as your main player?

Cheers.

At this point in time I do not have room for two blu ray players, I wanted a universal player for my SACD, DVD-A discs, and also something to stream music files that the Sonos will not play.

When I can remove the fireplace and mount the TV on the wall, I will build a rack for the corner to the left of the chimney to replace my cabinet as per my signature below.

This will allow me to keep both running, also my wife wanted the 3D option.
