Dual HDMI or Another way of connecting to an older Receiver?

Hi All...
The kids DVD player has taken a tumble so I'm thinking of putting our current bluray player (Panasonic DMP-BD30) upstairs and buying a new 3D one for down but so bothered about wifi as the dongle in the TV covers that pretty well.
The new player would be connecting directly to the TV for picture but still to my Denon AVR-2307 for sound so I'm not sure if I should go for something like the Panasonic DMP-BT310 and do the HDMI connection or the cheaper 110 and do something like optical...any ideas?
Thanks in advance...

If you go for the 110 and use the optical connection you will not get HD Audio on 3D Blu ray, only the core DTS/Dolby 5.1. Also you would have to change the settings each time in the menu to get it to decode and bitstream the HD sound track on standard Blu rays, via HDMI. (each time you swap between the two) For the hassle I would spend the extra on the 310.
