Denon DBT-1713 as CD player

Hi Lads, please help me on this one, on the denon site i cant find my anwser.

i have the following question.

If i buy a Denon DBT-1713 and combine this with a PMA-720, could i use the bluray transporter also as a cd player or is de DBT series dedicated to use with an AVR from Denon?  Quest

i have the 3313 also used as a cd player into rotel amp superb sound.i heard the 1713 as well both machines excellent.
