cambridge audio BD651

I see that cambridge audio have now released the new BD651 as a replacement for the 650. The specs look pretty decent (similar to the oppo 93 i guess). Has anyone had a chance to try this out and see how it compares to other at this price point.

when will what hi fi be reviewing it?

As soon as it's available, which – as Andy Clough reported in his Behind the Scenes blog piece – is 'sometime before Christmas'. As yet we don't have a more precise ETA than that.

thanks for the reply - but the new player is on the richer sounds website at the moment, and according to the store, is now available to buy.

Well, that's the information AC was given – will have to seek clarification on Tuesday, as I don't think Audio Partnership's offices work weekends. Unlike us Wink .

Do we know if they'll be region-free in the DVD department again?  I couldn't see anything on the Richer Sounds website.
