Blu ray upgrade

Hi,
I am looking to upgrade my blu ray player with a budget of £500. I am not interested in 3d as I won't be upgrading my amp and tv anytime soon.
I currently have a panasonic dmp bd30 blu ray player. The load time is slow and the cd playback is ok.
Amp is yamaha dsp-ax863se
Tv; panasonic tx37lzd800
Kef speakers with kube 2
Are there any considerations if I play a 3d capable player through my 2d amp?
Any thought / comments gratefully received
David.

I've had a Marantz UD5005 for a couple of months and have been over the moon with the sound and picture quality. When I bought it I thought I would need to possibly get a seperate DAC at some stage but CD playback is better than the Arcam DV137 it replaced. I only have a 2D TV/Amp and there are no issues.
