RE: blu ray

Which TV have you got & what's your budget? How important is DVD upscaling for you?

To be honest, you don't have to spend so much for a blu ray player, especially for a 37-inch TV. Look at Panasonic 220 / 320 /500 & Sony S390 / 490 / 790. If you want a universal player, look at Oppo 103 / Cambridge Audio BD651 / Denon 3313 / Marantz 7007.

Have a look & come back with your shortlist. We'll be happy to help you further. Try to demo the players before purchase.

RE: blu ray

after a trip down my local hifi shop who had the pansonics in stock along with the denon and marantz,it was the marantz ud7007 that done it for me,as it was better in stereo so i wouldnt have to have a dedicated cd player, the only problem now is that my arcam solo has stoped reading discs, and the bloke in the shop said i could hve a marantz nr1403 cheap, but do you think that the stereo side will suffer alot if i had the nr1403 and the ud7007
