BDP-S350 'No Disc' fault.
English

My bedroom player has died, displaying a 'No Disc' message regardless of format.

Do any of the current crop of BD players allow smart services over Wi-Fi? Would quite like iPlayer in the bedroom, but don't want to faff about with home-plugs/ Powerline adaptors.

The current 4100 looks like quite good value for around £80. There's no point blowing the budget for occasional bedroom use with a 26" TV.

Thinking of sticking with Sony so we can use 1 remote for everything.

I was about to suggest Sony BDP-S3100 if you're not bothered about 3D, but noticed that it's no cheaper than 4100!  :O

EDIT:  Except here for £74.99. Use code 3DTVVHUK for further 5% discount.

If your still looking for a Player for your bedroom, just saw this BDP-S4100 in Sony's Outlet Store,

I picked up a 4100 model recently and really impressed with it considering what the price tag is.

You will however need a dongle.

RE: BDP-S350 'No Disc' fault.

Bought the 4100 in Argos for £70, and got a £5 gift voucher to use before Christmas too. Turns out my plan to use any old USB dongle won't work though, and the Sony dongle would push the combined price of dongle and player to over that of the 5100.

Can't testify to it's BD abilities as I've only been watching Monty Python's Flying Circus on DVD on it so far.

As for smart features, I'll either not bother or use a couple of powerline adaptors. :?
