5 Stars blu ray with freeview ??
Hi guys,
I know that players e.g Marantz UD 7007, Pioneer BDP-450, |Sony BDP S 790, Panasonic DMP-BDT500 and so on are very good .
But is there 5 Stars blu ray player with freeview in one on the market which is so good like players above ?
If not which players and which freeview would you recommend me to see improvement in sound quality compare to my PS3 slim and my freview-Sony DVD recorder RDR HXD 970??
Many thanks.
Yamaha RX2010 , Mezzo 6, mezzo 1, epson 3200.
Your Yamaha receiver will decode audio better than any blu ray recorder you're considering.
Hi Big boss,
What do you recommend me to do then ?
Thanks
Well, it's your choice.
Panasonic 420 comes with a 500GB HDD
Panasonic 520 comes with a 1TB HDD
Panasonic 720 comes with a 1TB HDD + records on blank blu ray discs as well.
Personally, I would go for the 520 as you get extra 500GB for only £5-10 more than the 420.
Allow your player "bitstream" audio to the Yamaha receiver to decode.
What is your opinion about 5.1. vs 7.1 vs 9.1( front or back present speakers) ?
I used you have 7.1 but rear surround were only KEF-KHT (1005)small speakers , now I use only 5.1 mezzo 6 and mezzo 1, and to be honest not too much difference, maybe because rear were only KEF small speakers .
Thank you.
Most blu ray discs are coded at 5.1, few at 7.1. I'm not aware of ay that are coded at 9.1. Your AV receiver converts 5.1 into 7.1, 9.1 etc. The effects depend on your room size & the coding.
I have the Panasonic 720 and its really simple to use this is my 4th Pansonic Recorder my last one died in a flood which why I bought the 720, Its has Freeview+ and 4 HD chanels ie. BBC1 BBC2 ITV and C4. I can edit out adverts in Films or TV series and it records onto CDs DVDS and Bluerays. If you want to put CDs onto the hardrive it uses the Gracenote database to put the track details. I would highly recommend it and the bluray playback and sound quality are excellent.
It can also connect to your wireless network & you only need to add your password once.
I hope this helps
Chris
Must admit that my 7.1 seems to have no advantage ovwr 5.1 even with 7.1bdp. I may try the front biamp again
