Why are Denon receivers unpopular amongst dealers?

I've heard from at least 3 different sources that dealers don't like the Denon. Even my dealer discouraged me from buying a Denon receiver when I had a chat with him 7-8 months ago, & a dealer on this forum had expressed his dislike for it few months ago.

Why is that? Is Denon cost cutting by compromising on quality? Or because it doesn't offer a good margin to dealers?

No idea, but Denon has traditionally had a pretty strong line-up.
