What does this mean on a HDMI amplifier
New boy here! What does this mean?
"HDMI inputs only serve to connect the signal through the HDMI output. A direct reproduction of an HDMI audio signal via the amplifier is not possible."

Oh right I see
Not too fussed about that as I just wanted to run a playstation 3 off it, guess ill just have to change the ps3 output to rca..
Thanks a lot mate
Some sort of digital output would be better, you'll at least get digital surround sound that way, the advantage of taking audio from HDMI is that you get full HD audio, which you can't get any other way.
Ohh right
what about a digital to rca converter box?
Ohh right

PS3 has digital out doesn't it, so all you need is a toslink/digital cable at £5, connect from back of PS3 and to a digital input on back of amp.

It means you have a cheap AV amp that won't take audio from the HDMI input, it'll just pass the video and audio through the output to another device, ie a TV or projector.
No signature worth mentioning...
