Hello friends,

 

Which of these will work better with my Q Acoustics 2000 Cinema Pack please?

The review said the Sony does not immediately fit in to all systems since it has a 'leaner' sound while the Yamaha can?

The reason I ask is I had a STR-DA2400ES before and it sounded fine.

I was considering these two amps, too, because of the brilliant reviews. But, there were things about both of them that wasn't sitting right with me. So, I changed tact completely and went for a Denon 2312. They are massively discounted now and I think they have the whole package. They look great and sound great. Have a little look around online. You might find you want to add it to your short list.

The Sony would work nicely with that Q Acoustics package. It may not be as nice to use as the Yamaha, but in pure sound terms I think it'll give the more insightful results in your system.

so is there a big difference btwn the str dn1030 and the rxv 673 in terms of sound quality?

Or you could go for the Yamaha RX-A1010, for only about £50 more.
