Speaker placement

If using them as front, high presence speakers, can I place my monitor audio silver fx surrounds on the side walls so I can achieve the min required distance of 0.5m from the front speaker or does the bass/mid driver need to to be facing the listener. Placed on the side walls the bass/mid drivers of each unit will face eachother with one tweeter firing towards the listener, the other firing forwards towards the front wall. As they are bipole/dipole will this placement work, if so which setting is recommended.
