Is this a good deal:

http://www.sevenoakssoundandvision.co.uk/p/yamaha-rx-a1020av-receiverreceive-free-yamaha-bd-a1020-3d-blu-ray-player-worth-%A3399/tv-home-cinema_av-receivers?pp=96&pp=96

I'm after a Yammy amp for my MA speakers and stumbled across this. My only concern is the lack of reviews for the BD player and whether it's not going to be a step forward from my Pioneer BDP LX52

I can't comment on the blu ray player, but the deal is certainly amazing, considering the receiver has been in the market only for a few months!

It might be too much money for a punt. I was after the rx-a810 for £500, extra £500 gets me the 1020 and matching BD. What do you think? Could sell the Yammy BD if dont like it....

I think it's a great deal, although this deal may be better:

I wanted this over a week ago so phoned them up and was told no longer in stock. But it's still on their website - is this normal or might have I been misinformed?

Personally I'd stick with my existing player and spend the grand on a 3010...

Now, why didn't I think of that? That's why David@Frank Harvey is a successful hi-fi and home cinema dealer and I'm just a forum rent-a-quote!

It depends on which MA speakers the OP owns, and whether the speakers can benefit from the extra amplification and bring out the difference between a 1010 & a 3010.

RX6 (powred by Creek Evo 2), RXC, R90HD (no sub yet)

Would you ditch the Creek and use the 3010 for stereo?
