Does any body have any recommendations what receiver to put with the above floor standing speakers and centre channel. Rears and sub to be added at a later date. Have been looking at the Sony STR-DN1030, would that be a good option?

Just ordered the Yamaha RX-A820 Titanium finish bit more expensive than the sony but thought it would be worth it. Any thoughts?

Just reading these forums now jyl, was considering the 820 myself, but wondering whether to spend themoney on an older model and get an A1010 or even A2010, I already have Apple TV so Airplay not a problem and don't need 4K - think this was all they really added? Having said that for support purposes the latest models have an attraction - how did you find yours, most importantly is it good for music, but in movie and stereo?

Hello christotten,

If you see a Yamaha RX-A2010 and  can afford it, buy it! It's better than the 1010 in several ways, and if you don't need the modernisations of the 820 the 2010 is two grades better. Incidentally, the 2010 is a nine-channel receiver. I have one in my kitchen, and it's definitely better than the (already very fine) Yamaha RX-V1067 that it replaced in my kitchen (the 1067 is now in my bedroom).

That Sony is a really good sounding product for the money. It should work well with your speakers.
