I was wondering if anyone had this combi and could share their opinions.

Coming from a yamaha/bw system, feel I need something with more fire and passion than the yamaha

which although v.good feels  too warm/rich/safe sounding.

The new pioneers seem pretty good, but definitly dont want anything bright  sounding.

Happy new year to one and all  at what hifi.

Define "bright" Smile

I can understand where you're coming from - the Pioneer will certainly perk things up. I had an 82, 83 and an 85, and never felt that any of them were bright sounding, they're just 'fast'.

         Hi Rick,

Im using a yamaha 3067,sorry to use the term "bright"just generalising ,but I know what you mean re:sound

character and peoples own interpretation .Thought a pioneer sc 75 would sound good  coming from the yamaha ,as i

said i was looking for something a little more lively.Your opinion would be much appreciated.

                      Thanks in advance,

                           Pat Brady.

Hi Pat Brady

Thanks for your reply.

In addition to the SC-LX75 i'll recommend that you also consider Yamaha's new Aventage RX-A2010. Compared to their predecessors the new Aventage AV amplifiers are alot more open, cleaner, tighter and dynamic sounding with even greater speed and much higher levels of finer detail. This gives much greater insight particularly with lossless Dolby True HD and DTS HD Master Audio soundtracks. The RX-A2010 offers these qualities devoid of an upfront or harsh presentation which i feel can be listened to for hours without fatigue.

All the best

Rick @ Musicraft

Would Marantz SR7005 be another option?
