Am hoping that someone can help with the issues I'm having with my new Onyo 818.

The 818 is connected via hdmi to an Optoma HD20 projector. This is my only viewing source. HDMI(RIHD) control is et to off.

All sources are connected via hdmi pc, blu ray and xbox360.

The first problem I noticed was that when I turn off the projector to just listen to music from whichever souce i choose...... I can't. The hdmi logo on the amp flashes and I get 1 second of audio every 10-15 seconds. The hdmi logo on my blu ray player also flashes wheather it's selected as the source or not. So if I want to listen to just music music the projector has to be on all the time.

The second problem I noticed. My pc is connected via hdmi. I shut down my pc before I do an audyssey calibartion because of fan noise. When i plug in the audyssey set up mic I can't get the calibatration start screen on my projector. Have tried turning the amp off and back on and the audyssey start screen appears for about 2 seconds and then goes off again. If i then unplug the set up mic and try to select another source I get no signal appear on the amp display. The hdmi logo on my blu ray player flashes again even if its selected as a source or not. To get video output again I have to turn on my pc.

The third problem is when a blu ray disc is inderted and it starts to load. There is about a second where the screen flickers just before any logo appears on screen to show the content is loading. When this happens it can take the amp anything up to 2 minutes to lock back on to the hdmi signal sometimes it doesn't and you have to eject and restart the disc if that doesn't work switch between sources until the amp locks back on to the signal.

Am finding these issues really frustrating. Am i missing something? Is there a setting on the amp I've missed that can cause these issues? Any help other members can give me would be appreciated. Don't really want another replacement(already had to take a 1009 back a few weeks ago which was my original purchase).

Thanks in advance
