Onkyo 709/809 or Denon for B&W 685

I have decided I will upgrade my AV amp to one with phono inputs.
What is the best choice for my B&W speaker for a 50/50 split music/movies.
Help please before I go take a listen at the weekend.

Purchased a Denon 3312 it sounds nice with music as well as great movie performance.
I will be suprised if this is not an award winner (for my ears anyhow).
It should be here with in the week and I get get set up and get my old amp on ebay.
Now new TV purchased, New AV reciver purchased, and I have enough bonus money left for a turntable next job.

I have the 685 theatre pack, and I extensively demo'd the Pioneer SC-LX73 and the Denon 3312, and came away with the Denon (despite the Pioneer originally retailing for £500 more, but both now available for £999).
I was coming from a Denon 1909 (which i don't particularly like). There's a thread further down with a longer report on the experience.
EDIT- thead here: http://www.whathifi.com/forum/av-receivers/todays-demo-experience
I have some home cinema and Sonos stuff.
