I have an old SONY DA1200ES and while i have no complaints with it, will I need to upgrade it should I get a new 3D SMART TV?

Cheers

RE: New AV machine to handle 3D??

Hi,

Depending on other sources and ultimate goal, the receiver should be OK for TV use only?

More information required to make an informed decision...

Cheers,

Cofnchtr.

RE: New AV machine to handle 3D??

Hi thanks for replying, the 3D/smart tv will be mostly used with the Sky 3D channels and 3D blu-ray movies/games thru my PS3, both of which are HDMI'd to the AVR, so if that set up will still work with no problems to my sound, then happy days.

would this work ok?

Cheers

Your amp will work fine with sky3d, but not for 3d blu-ray via the ps3.

You would need either a new 3d compatible amp - or a standalone 3d bd player with dual hdmi or analog outs.
