Matching an amp to the Monitor Audio Bronze BX2 5.1 and alternate sub suggestions?
Easy question for you, I'm looking to pick up a home cinema receiver to match the following: a pair of BX2s, the matching centre and two BXFXs. I've been pointed to the RXV673 but have read that it can output 150W whereas the speakers are rated at 100W. I'm probably mistaken but does this mean that the 673 could be turned up enough to blow the speakers? That would be somewhat counter productive for me!
I was also going to wait to pick up the BX sub, but am interested in cheaper alternatives, or advice as to whether I really need it in a smaller space. Do amps such as the 673 have an option to select 'no sub' and therefore use the other speakers to compensate?
I am also planning to feed the amp from both a Sony blu-ray and a Western Digital Live HD, so can I avoid paying for networking capability in an amp, and instead put all my amp money into sound quality?
