marantz sr6006

hi all,i just brought a marantz sr6006 and a ud7006,and i have connected via hdmi cables,and a pair of anolog from the blueray to the amp,if i listen to a cd from the blueray the sound plays and then cuts out for a secound then plays again,it on plays ok through the hdmi,but i find that the sound is a bit brash,so i thought id try the anolog cables,hope some one can help,thanks
