One thing I've noticed immediately is the "it just sounds right" nature of this kit. With my previous setup I was forever customizing the sound mode and settings depending on what programme material I was listening to but this just seems to... get it right.
That is also how I find Arcam........enjoy!

Well, just today I decided not to use the LFE output on the amp but instead connect to the sub using the Neutrik connector that it came with.
What a difference!
It also seems the Arcam AVR can't be configured to output a full range signal to all the speakers, and still send the LFE signal to the sub. It seems it's either one or the other with this receiver...
...Unless of course you use the Neutrik cable. Seems a bit of a silly firmware limitation in the recevier though, or is this common? Not seen such a limitation on any of the Onkyos I've had.
So, Neutrik wins :)
If you select full range (20 Hz - 20 Khz), it will send the complete bass signal to the speakers.
LFE is a separate, dedicated effects channel, that is the .1 in the 5.1 mix......this is different to adding scale to the L & R, by using the Sub.
