Help which Yamaha Surround Receiver
English

Hi

I am looking to buy a new surround set

I have looked at the Boston Acoustics XS 5.1 SE Speaker set

Receiver I have looked at these three:

Yamaha RX-V675

Yamaha RX-V575

Yamaha RX-V477

If I take a 7.1 system I am planning on getting two extra speakers. I am going to use it to movies mostly.

Any pro and cons?

Thanks in advance

Hi again

I have tried and I cant seem to see any remarkable differences between these. But again I am not so much into Receivers to be able to see the small differences.. Sad

I would prefer Yamaha RX-V675

I would prefer Yamaha RX-V675. It's currently discounted by 50% due to 677.

I have just bought a 675,

I have just bought a 675, very pleased with it.  Sound quality is excellent, I am using it in 5.1 mode. It has hdmi pass through in standby which is useful,  but this will not work if hdmi control is set to on. It is heavily discounted at the moment,  Richer Sounds have it for £249, so you get a good bang for your buck! The only criticism I have, applies to most receivers on the market now, is there is no switched mains out,  so I am having to make up a switching device to be operated by the 12 volt trigger supply to power up the subwoofer.

The cheapest Anthem costs 5 times the OP's budget, and the OP's speakers will not be revealing enough to benefit from the Anthem.

Thanks

Thanks for all your advice

I live in Denmark so the prices are quite different.

But at the moment the 777 is on discount and only costs 75 $ more than the 677 and 100 from the 675

Thanks for all your advice!!
