I have a Cambridge Audio 751 BD player & 540 R V2 receiver (my front speakers are actually hooked up to a Cambridge Audio 740A stereo amp).
Am I right in thinking that, as the 751 BD decodes audio on-board, it doesn't matter that the older 540R V2 can't decode Blu Ray HD audio?
Many thanks,
That's correct, yes. The 751 has multichannel outs and the 540 has direct inputs so you can let the player do the decoding.
