From Yam RX-V2065 to Onkyo 709

I am quite impressed with the specs of the 709 and I am thinking of getting rid of the Yamaha. I can't arrange a demo at the moment because of lots of university work etc. Would to hear opinions to those who have listened to the Onkyo 709?? I have the Mission M3i series + a RSW12 sub, will the speakers do the amp justice or it's a case of upgrading speakers too?
