Arcam avr 400
I was told at Bristol the AVR400 is a NAD in a part frock? Any other secrets or myths?
That is a good point. The only manufacturer that was very complimentary to other speaker manufacturers was a guy from Tannoy.
To be fair, things are sometimes said in jest. I once said that an Apple Macbook was a 'jumped up laptop with a Nintendo Wii power supply', but I don't think anyone saw the funny side. Although, I probably shouldn't have said that on a pro-Apple forum

What's a part frock? ( yep, I live on the other side of the pond

I suspect it's a typo - Party Frock......(rather than a topless dress)
Out of curiousity who told you that?
Whoever it was, he/she was mistaken by the way

There's a lot of tripe that gets spread about manufacturers by other manufacturers sometimes. Unless Arcam told you this, I'd treat it with a pinch of salt unless it can be confirmed in some way.
