Amplifier for Martin Logan Motion 12

I recently purchased the Martin Logan Motion 12, and am looking for receivers which pair well with the receivers. The speakers produce good mid-tone, and would be using them for primarily to listening music, and then watching movies. I'd appreciate if others here can share their experience with receiver I should buy. Most of my music is in digital format (mp3), and also stream a lot of music. It would be great if receiver handles the digital format well.

So far been looking at Pioneer VSX40 and Pioneer 1021K. Any advice much appreciated.
