£11 per week for an 80' unit, discounts for paying certain periods up front.

In any event, I'm still not clear why costly storage means you have to employ staff.

Found another storage unit which never knew was there. Looks interesting. Only 2 miles up the road from me. http://www.securitstorage.co.uk/prices/4583520333 I'll give them a call over the next couple of days.

The reason for looking at staff is to expand. Three and half years ago it was just a concept, now I've grown the business as far as I can but I want to expand the business a little further - and any time in the future, if I want to step down as the main playmaker, need to be sure it's in good hands and there's a future for my daughter should she wish to take the business the next step.

RE: Should I look for alternative employment?

Thanks to Ben for pointing out storage. I've got all my stock transferred. After the holiday period (October) I'll be taking on a part-time sales person. The Ma-in-law said she'd be happy to do the admin and take calls. That'd free me up to fully concentrate on something I've always enjoyed -- selling.

Currently designing a brochure, this'll enable a B2B set-up.

Have been burning the candles at both ends a bit too much. Taking a couple of days off. Back to business on Monday.

I'm off down the boozer.

Well done Ben for providing the key idea - but I think it's congratulations to everyone who tried to provide helpful ideas. Smile

PP - it sounds like your new business model/way of working is starting to take shape. I hope that it works out for you.

If you want a storage and fulfilment centre (like Amazon without the sweatshop conditions) then use ExactAbacus. Although they are based near Preston. I have nothing but good words to say about them.

Cheers, certainly isn't a plight. Like hunting, the excitement is in the chase.

After spending well over a decade in the litho print trade I've made good contacts. Anyway, I'm still at the "what else should I put in the brochure" stage.
