As you may know, my girlfriend (who is absolutely wonderful as you may guess), made my big birthday last year (and the whole year!) really special by giving me a system of my dreams (see sig if you want to check it out).

So, it is her big birthday this year. How do I make it equally (or even more) special for her?

Any suggestions? Must be really really special.

Only one thing off the list is a big diamond ring (did that last Christmas Wink ). Other than that - your best and wildest ideas please!

Well, you could stop spending so much time listening to your system and posting on forums and pay her some attention...

If she likes shoes, then a trip to the UK boutique of this gentleman, complete with your credit card to pay for her choice, would be a red-soled slice of heaven

And for even more choice, this is the modern cathedral

Of course, as JD says, knowing what she likes would be helpful - she may prefer a football season ticketYes

Plenty of luxury - including both champagne and far away places - from this company. Not so far away - but damn fine - would be starting at St Pancras at the champagne bar, and travelling first class by Eurostar to a French chateau for gourmet food and more champagne.... A real slice of old-fashioned luxury (with all mod cons).

Easy. Opera at La Scala in Milan. Stay in the Jolly President. Eat lots of chocolates.

Top Hotel, two months there, wine, dine and chocolates should impress a little.

Ok... some interesting ones already... La Scala and Clare's travel suggestions are interesting...

She hates shopping btw and things like shoes have a utilitarian place in life for her. Unlike hifi gear for me Embarrassed

Keep the ideas coming, please!

She said I can have the C6 and scm300 - if and when I can afford the house big enough to keep them in! Can't argue with that.

Something like this but without the challenge and with entertainment/champaigne options on the way.
