Dilemma...
Tell her to 'sling her hook' (nicely of course) and that you have your own plans.
She's paying for it, and meets little'un from school once a week. She does do a lot... to say I'm uncomfortable with this arrangement is a gross understatement.
She's met my bro several times and they seem to get on well, but for some reason, she thinks it is a great deal using this other bod. Of course, Mrs. P is siding with her "well it's her choice..." which it is. They're not looking at the bigger picture - and, of course, family loyalty plays a part.
Her lodger is this bod's cousin, so there's an added incentive for her there.
If her sister was a interior designer, let's say, and I employed an outside person to do her house, wonder how she'd feel about that?
Okay, this is all way 'above my pay-grade' as they say. (I am getting a headache just trying to unravel all these brothers, ma in laws, cousins, 'bods' and lodgers, the 'sister' and which of the bungalows they all live in.)
Sod the Audi. Buy a little motorhome and leave them all to it for a few weeks. Hungary looks nice.

It certainly has a "Faulty Towers" feel about it.

Yes, the 'Orally men'/O'Reilly's men episode.

This is the other thing. I'm in no-way xenophobic but he can't speak a word of English. His cousin has to brief him on what needs doing.
Well you know what they say, Hungarians are the new Irish.

He's fluent in the international language of currency / over-charging!
Indeed. Your opinions on the subject of Czech and Italian car workers (especially Alfa's workers) amply demonstrated that recently.
No idea what this thread is about, or where is it heading towards.....

A reflection on cars I've owned and driven, not aimed the builders. I grew up in a mixed S.London school, worked in Tooting for many years. What I find disturbing is someone I can't converse with.
"They don't have much work in Hungary" said the MIL. Crikey, I always thought charity begins at home.
And now there's a MIL
Sent the ma-in-law an email stating I'll have to accept it, but made it very clear I'm unhappy with that arrangement, having bypassed my brother without getting an estimate.
The ma-in-law has employed a decorator from Hungary to do her hallway. He's taken three weeks, which is ludicrous. She thinks she's saving money, when this could be done in 4-5 days.
What? How? But... eh?
Is he commuting from Hungary or something? Is his gear in his garage back home? Does he head in the direction of Heathrow when he runs out of turps?
Three weeks to paint a hall? THREE weeks? Actually, 4-5 DAYS?
What's he using? Tippex?

What have you actually accepted, PP? I wouldn't be happy if my brother agreed to me being bypassed. Mainly because I've always been led to believe I'm an only child.
