Best cure for the common cold

I've had this bl**dy cold for nearly a week and it's starting to annoy me. So, what are your best remedies? Hot toddys? Honey/Lemon? Single Malt? Whatever you've got, lets hear it!

In this order! Important!!!

Two aspirins, must be Aspirin!  One big raw onion and garlic sandwich and lots and lots of whisky!  You must have the sandwich before you hit the whisky, other spirits will NOT work.  Turn up the heating and watch a good movie on the home cinema system. Go to bed... Sorted!

Well, the cold did clear itself up (eventually), but I'm intruiged - won't the onion/garlic sandwich just mean that no-one comes near you for a week?

If so, you might have just found the cure to the swine flu epidemic!!!

Do you work for Bayer? Any drug containing acetylsalicylic acid will work just as fine (which is basically no effect exept reducing the fever).
