Problem with home button Iphone 4

Hi all,
The home button of my Iphone 4 doesn't always function as it should. I have to press hard or more than 3 times when it'finally responds. I find this pretty annoying! Seems I am not the only one and there are also some remedies. Mostly it is a software issue, you need to re- calibrate your home button. I tried and it seems to work, but not as good as I hoped for. Anyone with the simular issues?

The part itself costs £7 on eBay if you fancy doing the repair yourself, your average phone repairer should only charge £30 for the work. In the mean time, if you go to the accessibility menu in the settings, you can enable a software button to use instead.
sounds like the ribbon that connects the button to the board has broken somewhat?
