The new connector is certainly a lot better than the 30-pin one. I hated the old one, always struggled to put my phone on a dock.

Seems to me Apple have given up. Absoultely nothing new and lagging behind already existing smartphones in most ways.

I think smartphone technology has peaked for now. We're unlikely to see significant advancements over the next couple of years, except for more powerful processors to support more complex games & apps, & probably more memory.

Whilst I agree, their sales will still equal the GDP of a small European country, so they probably don't care.

They will be, if you exercise everyday wearing them!  Wink

Strangely, Ive found the exact opposite when comparing old Apple connector to mini USB of the Nexus; always thought it was quite a good design (proprietariness notwithstanding).

I was expecting at least a Batman symbol and a "But it's an iPhone" button.

That said, I have always thought that iOS felt quite 'sorted', and am not getting the same warm and fuzzies about Jelly Bean (yet).

RE: iPhone 5

I've seen some stunning mock ups on YouTube, this seems a bit too 'playing it safe'

Like a more powerful 4s.

Bit dissapointing
