Playing music from iPad to an av amp

Hello I am currently playing music from my iPad to my pioneer sc lx83 amp using the cable that came with the amp. Is there a better way to connect the iPad to my amp which will give better quality maybe by using an external dac. Any suggestions or advice would be welcome Regards Lee

I don't think the Onkyo nsd1 etc are compatible with ipad, so probably best to look at Airplay/Airport. Your amp doesn't have that built in - you can either upgrade to a newer one or get an airplay receiver
