Ipad/ Nas

Good afternoon all,
I have recently purchased a Netgear Nas Duo and now need to be able to connect the Ipad to it. I have looked at the Readynas remote which appears to be clunky at best so i am looking for something else! Ideally i would like to be able to stream all media as well as upload and download on the move.
Currently i have connected the Logitech Media server for music duties on the Hifi and re-routed itunes to the Nas without any problems.
Would Plex solve all my problems??
You say stream. To what? Your iPad?
Not a HiFi Nut. Just has a pile of Nads.
