iPad 2 vs Sony Tablet S

Waiting is always bad. Except for when it is good.  This is not one of those times

We'll reserve judgement re performance until we've tested the Sony tablets - and the company is making some bold claims about their superirority over the iPad.

Certainly from a tactile perspective the two feel very different - i was surprised at how the Sony's lightweight plastic contrasts wtih the metal case of the IPad; users may prefer one over the other. Definitely one to try before you buy.

"I reckon this could be an iPad beater"

Update: tablified now has upwards of five hundred android tablet apps on its books.  Whoop.

(cf: 100,000 for iPad.  Though not Spotify yet, sadly...)

That sole comment has taken on such poignancy in recent weeks....

It's up there with "They couldn't hit an elephant from this dist..." isn't it?

Or the WHF review of U2's second album, October, which appeared in January 1982 issue: "they remain a specialist taste and will never, we hope, make the big time". High hopes indeed....

So the Sony will be just an expensive remote control...........Right?

I remember when people were advised to try before they buy...........

buy the asus transformer its a fantastic piece of kit!!!!

Sony have made alot of claims over the years and many of the products haven't lived up to there claims . wheather this was the media's fualt or Sony's we will never know. It is going to be the case of having to wait and see what the reviews bring and even better trying it out for yourself, as everyone has there own prefernce in what they like. 

But the way tech is being pushed to its limits v's cost there is a chance it could be a little bit better than the ipad2 in places but its not going to be an all out ipad killer

iPad 2 was purchased on Friday.
