It'll cost £639 - £739 (depending on 3G or not)
Already reported in the news section (just read the update to this news)!
Clearly, it has Microsoft Surface Pro in mind......which is a full Windows 8 Pro OS & not a mobile OS.
Though this may well p*** off a number of Surface Pro purchasers who don't research first. Of course, the Pro does have the benefit of having USB and SD card slots to expand the storage, but this is one of the main drawbacks I can see to it.
Logically, it makes sense - when you buy a laptop, you understand that the OS is going to take up quite a bit of space. Unfortunately, MS are still marketing this as a tablet, and people won't be expecting a tablet to have such a mammoth footprint.
I suspect people will drag Microsoft to court for false advertising if it hasn't explicitly mentioned this in the packaging. You can free up additional storage by creating a backup bootable USB and deleting the recovery partition.
Although I can see where the 128GB iPad is going to be useful: http://www.zdnet.com/dont-be-confused-by-the-128gb-ipad-its-not-for-you-...
Why would anyone buy a 128GB iPad when you can buy any model and have an Airstash in your pocket if you want to have films or an extensive music library, especially as those around you can share the drive.
That reminds me... here's one for the hate thread

Check the link in my post just above your post.
Currently contemplating buying one of these. The missus has a 64gb with all her music in 320kbps, and it's pretty much full. Bigger capacity would allow uncompressed/more music, and some films and things for when we're travelling.
She doesn't want a laptop, and isn't a fan of streaming from our desktop. This would keep her happy
